Seven Strophes on Beauty (by Jan Elgroth Talvinen)
Oh Beauty!
Thy wells of dark blue how wildly I adore!
Be thy shine ever one lone light in the dark
To guide my love strolling to thy heart.
Oh Beauty!
For tis the only way I want to send
My love, everlasting like the beauty of thy kind
Even shall it never meet thy sight.
Oh Beauty!
I beg thee, hear my words full of faith,
Of devotion, love and passion unequaled
Thou art the only in my heart I ever felt.
Oh Beauty!
Darkness perishes when fighting with thy glaze!
Retreats blinded consumed by thy light,
Be I lost, then only in love's haze.
Oh Beauty!
Thy voice angel's song is to my sense -
Should they say the other way - I'll cry
To hear thy sweet key the moment that I die.
Oh Beauty!
Should my existence cease as sundown comes,
I'd leave this realm with thy image in my mind,
Hoping to meet thee in the next live I'll commence.
Oh Beauty!
Should I be gone for eternity or more,
My spirit shall remain, thy virtue to adore
For tis worth existence, to be by thy side!
