Anotace: Druhá ze třetí trilogie mých básní.
Sbírka: Poetické trio - vol. II
Down in the glorious south,
where the land and grass bask in the sun,
where the shore meets the silent, sapphire mouth,
a place of heroic deeds being done.
White mountains guarding the plains,
azure sky brightening the day,
beloved companions of men without chains,
watchers of every serious fray.
Cobbled roads criss-crossing the ground,
carving through farms and glades,
sweet summer silence follows every peaceful hound,
through places that forged our blades.
Cities of marble and shining white,
protecting the glory for the people of the Sea,
towers and ships displaying their might,
our essence, our pride, our key.
Tasty red wine we pour from our flagons,
followed by a woman’s warm smile,
men’s roars in taverns equal to a dragon’s,
a place where everyone can rest after a long mile.
That is Croatia, the land of honour and peace,
a realm respected, welcoming and ever-warm,
Croatia, a chest for putting in all your stressful needs,
Aye, a land that never witnesses a hostile storm!
